The SQL Administrator will be responsible for maintaining daily operation and problem resolution of SQL related systems on the network, operating systems, and the many automated systems and databases it accesses. This person will maintain the existing databases and design, structure, and maintain additional databases as required supporting new applications. Duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to the following: • Assist with management of the organization's software application portfolio in the DON Application & Database Management System (DADMS). Assist users with processing DADMS application requests and submit applications requests into the DADMS review process. • Schedule and perform daily database backups, perform database recoveries as required, and ensure the integrity of the data in all customer databases. • Build, configure, patch, and upgrade database as required and with prior Government coordination following the security technical information guidance (STIG). • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues between the database and the systems that are connected to the database. Provides technical support to application development teams. • Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. Optimize database efficiency and monitor usage and storage daily. • Maintain documentation related to design, development testing and implementation of the databases, including details on customization and/or configuration, codes, scripts, and in support of certification and accreditation requirements. • Assist service desk personnel to ensure all required data is captured in the Government provided management database. • Provide training for Department of Navy (DON) Application and Database Management System (DADMS). • Manage and maintain all required security level/posture of all MS SQL Servers. Ensure servers are Information Assurance (IA) compliant to the latest policies and standards (i.e. STIG, IAVA, etc.) • Document and generate report on all changes applied to MS SQL Servers. • Provide assistance in the processing and submission of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) for MS SQL Servers. • Provide recommendation on industry best practices in the use of MS SQL Server and upcoming trends in database design, implementation and sustainment. • Manage and maintain all database backup and recovery. • Perform auditing, base lining/enhancing/optimizing/tuning (especially index tuning and custom statistics), monitoring and troubleshooting. • Plan configuration changes, future workloads, and future system resources that are aligned to government mission and goals.

The position involves an understanding of Navy equipment life cycle logistics, supply, warehousing, and distribution procedures, processes and techniques. The Senor Logistician will oversee and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including the operation of various government Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and other vehicles for movements inside the warehouse and for on base delivery.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Tasking may include, but not limited to: • Oversee and/or perform ordering, addressing, transportation and shipping, receiving, packing and unpacking, storing, warehousing, inventorying, induction and issuance of incoming and outgoing equipment and material, as well as disposal of material and equipment, as well as managing transportation, supply or quality deficiencies and associated reporting. - Review, prepare and maintain key supporting documents (KSD) related to coordination of receipt, shipment and/or disposal of material, such as DD Forms 1149, 1348 and 250. - Conduct supply screening, material identification, and material sourcing using standard logistics tool applications such as Navy ERP and Web Federal Logistics Information Services (WebFLIS), identify material handling discrepancies, complete causative research, and provide recommendations to correct and/or avoid recurrence of the given discrepancy. - Oversee/perform storage and organization of material, including Care of Supplies and Storge (COSIS). - Preservation, Packaging, Packing and Marking (PPP&M) and Kitting of material, including spare parts, electronic and other equipment, including those of irregular shapes or contours; oversee/perform loading/unloading trucks and delivery to local customers. • Provide or verify shipments by confirming material, quantities, destination, and method of delivery, including expediting parts for repairable components inducted into a maintenance facility and for other naval command requirements. - Oversee and ensure military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) freight traffic rules for demurrage, detention, and storage are followed in preparing movements, and take appropriate action to keep charges at a minimum. • Recording materials moved or handled with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or similar warehouse management and property/material accountability systems. - Oversee/perform other disposition efforts including obtaining and maintaining Electronic Turn-in Document (EITD), eRetrograde Management System (eRMS), and Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) access and screening material for proper disposition. • Providing guidance to supply technicians, material coordinators, warehouse specialists, and shipping/receiving clerks

Duties and Responsibilities: The System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of networks in support of computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.
