Overview

FTI is in search of a Material Expediter to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Install, reconfigure, dismantle systems furniture preferably experience with Herman Miller and Knoll product lines
  • Deliver/place and pick up various office furniture
  • Reading production schedules, work orders and drawings to determine material requirements
  • Locating and distributing materials to designated production areas using manual tools or equipment
  • Recording and maintaining perpetual inventory of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed
  • Assisting in the transfer of materials from stock area to production areas
  • Examining received materials, verifying part numbers, and checking for any discrepancies
  • Comparing work ticket specifications to material used at workstations to ensure appropriate assignment
  • Load/unload incoming and outgoing materials
  • Driving trucks to outlying work areas to deliver/pick up materials/equipment
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Experience with driving a range of vehicles from cargo vans to 26' box trucks
  • Forklift experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
  • High School diploma
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
