Overview

Future Technologies is in search of a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.  FTI is a proven, employee-focused provider of mission-critical information systems and technical support services to government and private sector organizations worldwide.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Systems Administrator will provide system administration support to maintain, develop, and operate the hardware and networks suites of equipment utilized in the development of software products. This support includes the establishment and maintenance of operating and network operating system development environments, and providing system and network design, implementation, maintenance, and network support. Additionally, the Candidate will support Cybersecurity related administration tasks, including system remediation, configuration, and development of A&A documentation.

The Candidate will provide system initialization, deployment, accreditation and system administration functions for all Unclassified & Classified development servers and workstations to include the following:

  • Perform user accounts management.
  • Perform Local Area Network (LAN) and application management support including switches, routers, firewalls, and loggers.
  • Perform system backup management and restore systems in the event of system or disk crash.
  • Perform system patching.
  • Support Navy standards for A&A processes and procedures [e.g. Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Platform Information Technology (PIT)].
  • Implement and validate Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) requirements, installation checklists, and other security process

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years’ experience with the following: system backup/recovery; basic software management; security management; network management; operating computer systems; sizing, performance, tuning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware; operation systems and COTS software; hardware/software/network design, troubleshooting, and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11. Linux Red Hat 5, Linux Red Hat 6, Linux Red Hat 7, and Linux Red Hat 8. Candidates should be able to design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot with Windows and Linux boxes and implement, manage, and monitor network devices, machines and ESXI hosts. 
  • IAT Level 2
  • Active Secret security clearance
