Location: Patuxent River, MD

 

Clearance: Must have an active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Apply logistic knowledge for supporting aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs.
  • Conduct logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs.
  • Provide recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data packaging, handling, storage and transportation, and facilities.
  • Provide recommendations for the development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Management Plans.
  • Provide recommendations for the review and development of Maintenance Plans/Logistics Support Analysis (MP/LSA) records, maintenance tasks and Level of Repair (LOR) Analysis recommendations.
  • Ordering, receiving, inspecting, stowing, preserving, packaging, shipping, technical research and issuing materials and cargo.
  • Organizing, establishing and maintaining a mail system. Receive, sort, inspect and deliver arriving mail and cargo
  • Managing inventories of repair parts and general supplies of shore-based activities.
  • Procuring, receiving, storing, and issuing material and repair components.
  • Keep financial records and logs.
  • Maintain inventory database and prepare reports and correspondence
  • Operate computer systems that provide logistic support information

Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills combined with a mastery of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated performance in anticipating needs, exercising a high degree of initiative, and exhibiting advance organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance standards with supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to solve a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fluid environment with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working in a government or government contractor environment
  • Basic understanding of logistic elements; supportability, maintainability, and logistics support
  • Active Secret security clearance
