Overview

Support all technical and engineering stages of systems development, testing, integration, fielding, quality assurance (QA), certification, and maintenance. They shall participate in systems engineering activities including concept definition, system architecture development, system design, operational and system requirements development and management, external and internal interface management, security engineering, systems certification, communications and network engineering, hardware design and integration, system interoperability support, integrated logistics, training, fleet support, tactics and operations, mission engineering, metrics collection and analysis, modeling, and simulations. Other duties supporting these efforts include providing business operational and financial support, technical writing, documentation, configuration management, database maintenance, information assurance (IA), and system administration.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the System under test is in compliance with IA controls and weapon system security requirements.
  • Develop security penetration test plans, security test specifications, security test procedures, and security test
  • Provide system administration support to maintain, develop, and operate the hardware and networks suites of equipment utilized in the development of software products. Establish and maintain operating and network operating systems development environments and provide system and network design, implementation, maintenance, and network
  • Support Cybersecurity related administration tasks, including system remediation, configuration, and development of A&A
  • Provide system initialization, deployment, accreditation and system administration functions for all Unclassified & Classified development servers and workstations to include the following:
    • Perform user accounts
    • Perform Local Area Network (LAN) and application management support including switches, routers, firewalls, and
    • Perform system backup management and restore systems in the event of system or disk
    • Perform system
    • Support Navy standards for A&A processes and procedures [e.g. Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Platform Information Technology (PIT)].
    • Implement and validate Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) requirements, installation checklists, and other security process
    • Provide support for web based tools and services

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Windows 10 Certification
  • Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 or higher
  • Two (2) years of hands-on technical experience with the following: system backup/recovery; basic software management; security management; network management; operating computer systems; sizing, performance, tuning, installation and configuration of hardware; operation systems and COTS software; hardware/software/network design, troubleshooting, and resource allocation.
